My 8 year old daughter is in the 3rd grade and dyslexic. She hates reading because it’s so mentally taxing for her. We’ve gone through all the appropriate content our library offers so I was excited when I found this series- dyslexic friendly and Unicorns, sign me up. I showed them to my daughter’s tutor when they arrived and she asked me not to have my daughter attempt them to avoid frustration. Lots of complicated words that aren’t decodable for dyslexic kids. I read them to her and found the content to be more mature than the suggested 7-10 age range. Seemed more appropriate for middle schoolers. Even more disappointing, the last book kind of ends on a cliff hanger!

My daughter is 10 and has dyslexia. At 1st she said unicorns are for baby’s but after she started reading it she really got into it. The story line is perfect for her age and she feels more confident reading it. The only thing she doesn’t like is she says the chapters are to long
